ASDA-A2R Series

To achieve our goals and keep pace with the evolving market, Delta has officially launched its new linear drive system, the ASDA-A2R series for high-speed and high accuracy motion control applications. 

The ASDA-A2R series is an innovative linear drive system that successfully integrates CANopen and DMCNET communication interfaces to offer high-response and high-precision control. Delta’s linear drive system connects to Delta’s motion control cards and programmable automation controller (PAC) MH1-S30D in order to create an ideal solution for multi-axis motion control applications in a range of automated industries.

Connected to Delta’s ECML-S16/20/25/32 series ironless linear motors, the ASDA-A2R series offers high-precision, high rigidity, high response and zero backlash at optimal levels. This increases the efficiency of the motion control system and expands the applications of the servo system for high-precision requirements. 

Current linear drive systems on the market are complex. Many of their components, including servo drive, linear motor, linear scale and external controller, come from different suppliers. This makes integration very difficult for customers. The ASDA-A2R series combines Delta’s linear motors with Delta’s PAC for a less complex system featuring straightforward wiring, quick installation, rapid communication, superior performance and much easier integration.

The ASDA-A2R series can be connected to an optional ASD-IF-EN0A20 Signal Converter Box through a motor encoder interface. The ASD-IF-EN0A20 converts the square waves and sine waves of feedback signals from the linear scale, linear motor and encoder into communication signals. The ASD-IF-EN0A20 Converter Box turns signals into high resolution signals (signal amplification: multiple of 2,048) which greatly reduces noise and distortion. The resulting more accurate signal transmission is essential for fast, optimum communications.
